“Safari” means “to journey” in Swahili and for many travelers, the number one experience on their bucket list is a wildlife safari in Africa. Imagine a beautiful desert stretching to the horizon and filled with lions and zebras, giraffes and hyenas, hippos and elephants, leopards and rhinos, plus a large variety of birds.
While there you’ll enjoy sundowners – that’s cocktails to you and I – just prior to sunset in the bush while observing the nearby wildlife. Earlier that day, your group would have driven through the desert searching out the “big five.” Back in your luxury camp, you might enjoy a swim before gathering with your fellow guests to enjoy a gourmet dinner. After dinner and a convivial evening reminiscing over the events of the day, you will go off to your private, well-appointed tent cabin. Tomorrow’s first activity starts long before dawn.
We work with several top-notch suppliers who do nothing but a variety of Africa Safaris. Abercrombie and Kent, Micato, Cox and Kings and many others. A safari is also a great opportunity for a family vacation. Spend a few days before or after the safari itself, learning about the local history and culture in some of Africa’s cities.
We do one or two presentations on Africa every year – please let us know if you would like to be added to the invitation lists.
